The Islamabad Police uses Safe City cameras to track the students who bunk school

In a concerted effort to safeguard the well-being and education of Islamabad’s youth, the Safe City Command and Control Center has officially launched the “Go to School” campaign, as announced in a tweet from the official Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police account on X (formerly Twitter). This initiative is a pivotal component of the continuous endeavors to prioritize the education and security of the city’s youngsters.

The campaign’s inaugural significant action involved the deployment of Safe City surveillance cameras. Over twenty children, who were discovered to be absent from school and college, were identified while loitering in recreational areas, markets, and various neighborhoods across the city.

Immediate measures were taken to monitor and assist these minors, promptly escorting them to nearby police stations. There, they were reunited with their parents, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Under the guidance of CPO Safe City/Traffic, the Islamabad Capital Police reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to the nation’s future, emphasizing that students are the most valuable assets of the country. This campaign serves as a testament to their dedication to providing each child with the opportunity for a bright and prosperous future.
