Fabio Vieira later converted a penalty he had earned himself, and Takehiro Tomiyasu netted from a corner to finish off the one-sided match. With this victory, Arsenal moved up to second place in the standings with 24 points, just two points behind the league leaders, Tottenham. Meanwhile, Sheffield United remained rooted to the bottom of the table with only one point from their first 10 matches.
