Prominent supermodels Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid, known for their outspoken support of the Palestinian cause, are now facing death threats and harassment stemming from their criticism of the Israeli government’s actions during the ongoing Israeli military war in Gaza.
Born to a Palestinian father, the well-known luxury real-estate developer Mohamed Hadid, the Hadid sisters have been fervently championing the rights of Palestinians throughout the ongoing conflict.
Sources have revealed that the Hadid family has been compelled to implement security measures, which include changing their contact information, in response to the concerning surge in death threats they’ve received.
In response to these threats, there are reports that Mohamed Hadid is considering involving the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to track down the individuals responsible for these menacing messages.
Gigi Hadid, in particular, has garnered significant attention for her pro-Palestine stance, which has elicited criticism from some of her Israeli fans. Notably, she expressed condolences for the loss of lives, both Palestinian and Jewish, following a recent Hamas attack in Southern Israel on October 7. In her Instagram post she shared:
